Hi, I'm Laura

I’m your friendly, neighborhood designer. I have 4 years of experience in screen printing, 7 years in web design where I spent 4 years as a Creative Director, and 8 years as an entrepreneur. Many of these things overlapped, as I ran past businesses while working a full-time job. For the last three years, I’ve been self-employed full time and loving it.

I currently run three small businesses on my own. For one, I do freelance design, where I primarily work on logo and branding design for thriving local businesses. I opened Moodio three years ago, which is a lifestyle and home design studio. Moodio's plant risers were recently mentioned in a New York Times Wirecutter gift guide. Lastly, I opened The Hideout in October 2025 as a unique event space with game entertainment and a Contemporary Asian aesthetic.

In the past, I opened and closed Room 244, a small art gallery and event space in Old City, which I shut down due to the pandemic. During the pandemic, I also opened and closed an online brand, Inked Vintage, a clothing brand focused on upcycling used clothing.

How to Apply

To apply, fill out the form linked below. We will choose one applicant to fulfill this role. The Hideout is an inclusive, welcoming space, and we encourage applicants of all races, genders, identities, abilities, and backgrounds to apply.
